How to setup UME Roles for NWDI.Administrator ?
I am not found any UME Action like CBS.Administrator and CMS.Administrate ?
When this start page will appear
http://<host name>:<port number>/devinf
can you tell me the solution
Thanks and Regards,
Boopathi M
How to setup UME Roles for NWDI.Administrator ?
You go to http://<server&domain>:<port>/useradmin
Log on as the administrator
1. Go to roles and create a new role called NWDI.Administrator and add the actions CBS.Administrator & CMS.Administrate
2. Go to groups and create a new group called NWDI.Administrators and add the role NWDI.Administrator to this.
3. Now you can add the group to users....
The useradmin can be at times a little hard to get to grips with as the button and sides sometimes change but persist and you will get the hang of it.
I am not found any UME Action like CBS.Administrator and CMS.Administrate ?
See from point 2 above, you add these actions to roles, there is an action tab when you have selected/created a role.
When this start page will appear http://<host name>:<port number>/devinf
If this page is not appearing I would try and access it from the NWDI server itself... if that does not work then does the same URL give a result if just entered as follows?
http://<host name>:<port number>/
good luck!,
regards
graham

Hi Boopathi,
in /useradmin you should have displayed a role or created a role and you should see a tab for actions. Click on this and click the modify or add button inside and in the search criteria you should be able to type CBS* or CMS and it will provide all hits. If it shows you no hits then I wonder if you have chosen a usage type of DI at installation because I believe actions are already in place before the CTC runs.
Hi Bhoopathi,
If the required UME actions are not appearing, it means the DI components DI_CBS, DI_DTR and DI_CMS are not deployed to the engine.
So, kindly deploy the above mentioned components to the engine and search for the actions.
Hope this helps.

Sumanth

Plesae let me know what is the CMS url and let me know how to check weather its installed or not in my local mechine.
Currently iam installed SAP NW 7.0 SP 14.
my id : mmukes6 at gmail dot com
Thanks
Mukesh
I think Graham described most of you
I am not found any UME Action like CBS.Administrator and CMS.Administrate ?
I think from above your question you are trying to search CBS.Administrator or CMS.Administrate
In the Actions selection screen try searching "CBS "
You will get list of roles related with CBS
do same about CMS
Mukesh...
If your CMS is installed locally no need to give any URL .. but before stating the template you have to create Domain in the CMS link also you can check your CMS here
Give Domain name and Domain ID (which should be betwee 1to3 digit idally... caution * using 4 digit ID)
follow this ...
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/73/128042ebd6b767e10000000a155106/frameset.htm
once you save this info...
start the template again. it should work
Hi Mukesh,
I am also configuring NW SP14
I am also stopping on CMS part.
Here is the solution
Before config the CMS
Go to
-> click CMS
login as nwdi_cmsadm
enter domain information and save to create a domain
Then you can start the CMS config process
