Low value assets...

Dear All,

I did config for Low value assets and i mentioned maximum amount for LAV is RS: 5000, if i try to purchase assets in this asset class with more that rs 5000 system should through an error, but this is not happening. Did i miss any setting for this.

Hi Suresh,

Pls check the settings that you have made in the T cde OAYK.

As the maximun amount specified here would restrict the posting of Asset acquisiton exceeding this amount.

Hi,

Go to SPRO ->Financial Accounting->Asset Accounting->Valuation->Amount Specifications

->Specify Max amount for low value assets + Asset Class-> Specify LVA Asset Classes

select the Low value asset class line and double click on the Low value asset Check

Select the No maximum amount check and save

Define the Depreciation key seperatly.

now go to master data and create the master, in the dep. area dont enter any useful life

asign one period and give the dep start date.

so that the dep is calculated and the net book value is not carried forward to the next month.

the asset is deactivated after the dep run.
