Change cost center group

Hi,

I created a Cost center group as

1000 : Production Cost Centers.

I want to change the group name of 1000 to 2000, but keep the name Production Cost Centers the same.

How do i change the cost center group ?

Hi,

You can not change the group name 1000 to 2000.

What you can do is, create a new group 2000 and re-assign cost center under group 1000 to group 2000. Then delete group 1000 by using T Code KSH2. Before deleting the group 1000 keep one thing in mind that there should be no data available in 1000 or any cost center which has been assigned to group 1000.

I don't think it is possible. Delete 1000 and create a new one as 2000.

Yup agree with u. It's impossible to change the 1000 to 2000. U must create 2000 first and re-assign cost center under 1000 to 2000. Then delete 1000. But you can delete 1000 in one condition, there is no data available in 1000 or any cost center belongs to 1000.

Where do i delete the entire group ? whats the t-code?

KSH2, go to menu 'Group' and choose 'Delete'

Hi,

You cannt change that but you can create a new group and reassign the cost centers from the old group.
