Hello,
how can i log on to client 800 from my SAP 2005 ECC6 IDES? I've tried with my sapstar user but it didn't work.
Now, when i try to log on to client 800, the message is: Password logon no longer possible - too many field attempts.
How can i fix it?
Thanks,
Stracke
Hi
Starting from BASIS release 700 onwards, the profile parameter
login/no_automatic_user_sapstar is not default set to value '0'.
Check note number 550894 point 4. In RZ11 transaction you can actually
see the present value of this parameter.
You need to change this value to '0'. You may need to restart the application server after this. The sap*/pass can be used after this.
Let me know if you have further queries.

Ajit

Hi,
Do one thing Delete the SAP* user in the clients those you are unable to login.
After deleting SAP* it will be created with password " pass" by loging with that user you can resett the passwords of all other users.
Before deleting SAP* check the parameter " login/automatic_no_user_sapstar " should set to value " 0 zero "
To delete SAP*
Login to OS level through ora<SID> user
sqlplus '/as sysdba'
delete from SAP<SID>.USR02 where bname='SAP*' and mandt='<client no>';

Logon with SAP* and unlock the user and you can create new user or unlock or create as many users as you want once you login throgh SAP* and you shud be knowing the standard password for SAP* if you have not changed that then!!!
