Crystal Report XI not updating correctly within CR Server

Greetings. I have a report that I have created using Crystal Reports XI. I then have published it and set it up within Crystal Reports SERVER to automatically run on a daily basis. The report automatically runs with no errors, however, when you look at the data, it does not reflect the current database - instead shows the data from whever it was published. Thus, the reports look like they are updated daily, however the information inside shows that they are not.

Any help/tips/advice on what to look for to fix this problem would greatly help! I'm new to Crystal Reports Server.

Thanks,

Pam

    HI Pam,

Try resaving the report to CR Server while making sure that Save Data with Report is unchecked on the File drop down in Crystal Reports. You can do a File|Save As and select Enterprise on the left side. You will then be prompted to log into the CR Server and you can save the report over top of the one that isnt working.

You can also use the publishing wizard to bring it in, but make sure that the Keep saved data when publishing report isn't checked.

The historical data shows that the report ran successfully at the scheduled time, however the contents are not correct. I can go refresh the report in Crystal Reports, and the information IS correct. So, it is like it IS running the report, however, not "taking" to the database to get the latest information.

Now, I will say this, we do a complete reload of the database EACH night. Could this affect it somehow???

I had a similar problem and solved it by clicking on "View Latest Instance" This is an option when viewing the report via CRS.
