KM : employee and documents management

Hi ,

In case of a ESS/MSS Portal project, I looking for a solution (for THE Solution) to store employee electronics documents (resume, letter, annual evaluation u2026)

Portal release is EP 7.0 and backend release is ECC 6.0

I have identified several technical solutions:

- DMS (in use with u201CBP for DMS Connector KM 1.0u201D)

- Business Document Service (to be able to link document to employee)

- SAP Record Management

- Internal KM databse

I have to pay attention to access authorizations topic: each employee can see its own documents only, and each manager should be able to see its employeeu2019s documents.

If you have any experience feedback, benefits and concerned for these solutions or any others solutions, I will appreciate.

Store them in your content mgmt solution of choice (KM would be fine) and link the documents via ArchiveLink to their repective type for access from HR (like resume, passport, contracts, photos, etc.). There are several "document" types you can set up for ArchiveLink (employee photo just happens to be the most common due to "Who's Who")
