Help required in CTS+(OTO)

HI all,

we are planning to do transports in Enterprise Portal landscape (EPD,EPQ.EPP) through Solution Manager system using CTS+. i searched the service marketplace and got a document, but i have few clarifications in that doc .it would helpful if someone could clarify them, point would be rewareded.

we have two solman systems(SD0,SP0) ,SD0 is Domain controller and SP0 in added in the same domain of SD0 for moving any changes made in SD0,now

1.For CTS+ configuration in the document it has asked to got to STMS and create NON -abap system

clarification: in which system i need to create this?because in EP we cant execute STMS

2.and also asked to configure transport routes between these non-abap system

Clarification:where do i need to do this, already i have configured routes between solman systems SD0(domain controller) and SP0.

Regards,

Anand Reddy M

    Hi Anand,

1.For CTS+ configuration in the document it has asked to got to STMS and create NON -abap system

clarification: in which system i need to create this?because in EP we cant execute STMS

Create the Non ABAP system in SP0 because that is the system which will communicate with all satellite systems and SP0 will act as the OTO system.

2.and also asked to configure transport routes between these non-abap system

Clarification:where do i need to do this, already i have configured routes between solman systems SD0(domain controller) and SP0.

In SP0 you need to create 3 Non ABAP systems- EP DEV,QUAL and PROD.Then define the transport route between these 3 Non ABAP systems.

    Revert for any clarifications,

    Regards,

    Avinash.

    Hi,

Looks like you have configured CTS+.

Where do the .epa transport files now reside...Do they still reside in global directory i portal...

Do we need to share the global directory with EP systems and solman....

If not what directory will solman use for CTS +.

    Thanks,

    Tanuj

The epa files still go to the same directory on the portals system as it did before. That directory needs to be NFS mounted to tour solution manager system. SolMan picks the file up from there.

    Hi Ananda

I have similar issue in CTS+ configuration for portal. I have SolMan transport path for Solution Manager Landscape. I have created another for NON_ABAP portal route for Portal Dev -> QA->Prod in Solution Manager Dev system. I have test connected from domain controller and SDM connection successfull to QA & Prod. But whenever I launch CTS_BROWSER in Sol_Man Dev , after login screen It display error"System SMD is not valid; configure Organizer client in TMS", SMD is my Sol Man domain controller. Please help, as you have already resolved this issue.

    Much appreciated you help.

    Many Thanks

      Hi Jignesh,

When you launch the cts_browser you need to specify the portal dev system as the source system. You should be promted for the system after you click on the transport organizer web UI in the stms transaction in your solman dev system.
