Lumira Designer 2.1: BI Commentary, isPublic comment

I tested new BI Commentary Features introduced with Lumira Designer and could successfully implement "private" comments. I am failing though on implementing "public" comments. as soon as comment is saved with attribute "isPublic": true, Comment cannot be retrieved from Comments Component. I suppose this has something to do with Authorization? I already assigned all possible BI Commentary rights on relevant Content folder to users. Still not working.

Can anyone provide help on how to get PUBLIC BI comments working?

Versions:

BI Platform: 4.2 SP4 Patch 6

Lumira 2.1 SP00

Thanks,

Andreas

Hello Andreas - would it be possible for you to try the public comments using the sample dashboards that SAP provided and see if the problem persists? https://blogs.sap.com/2017/12/17/trying-what-is-new-in-sap-lumira-designer-2.1/ - if it persists, then it appears to be closer to a security issue

Hello Tammy, I started with sample dashboard solution. same behavior. works with personal comments, not with public comments. as soon as dashboard gets reloaded / refreshed, public comments disappear.

I am able to reproduce this with simple code

<<<

var isPublic = true;

//delete all comments

var comments2 = COMMENTS.getComments({ "isPublic": isPublic});

comments2.forEach(function(element, index) { COMMENTS.delete(element.id); });

//create comment

var commentId = COMMENTS.create("TEST", { "isPublic": isPublic });

//read comment

var comments1 = COMMENTS.getComments({ "isPublic": isPublic});

APPLICATION.createInfoMessage("comments1.length: " + comments1.length); //returns 0 for public comments

>>>

if "isPublic" ist set to false, 1 comment is returned from COMMENTS, if set to true, no comments.
