Generic Delta Timestamp issues

I have not created a Generic Delta datasource before, but with my first one, I have used a timestamp as a delta pointer. We put a timestamp in the chose table, and initalized delta, this worked fine, the data was brought across to our BI system, however when new data is added to the original table, it is not recognised in RSA7.

The RSA7 time stamp for delta is correct, so I am unsure as to why this is not working.

Does anybody have any pointers?

We are using BI 7.

Thanks Alice

    Hi Alice,

in the maintenance of the generic delta you might need to set up a lower and a higher limit like 1 or 2 hours in order get the delta working properly.

a real delta load from BW based on timestamp delta having NO lower limit should never bring twice the same record.

RSA7, RSA3 aren't real delta loads, they are simulations....

      hope this clears your concerns....
