Hi ,
Using MM01 and MM02 I am unable to change certain fields.
Even with "SAP ALL" as a authorisation this is still not possible.
It seems as if some limitation against the material prevents changes.
Does anyone have some clues where this control might be entered.
Thank You
Al
Hi Alan,
MM02 is designed to change values of fields in material master (MM17 is for mas change). Via MM01 you can create new material master records or you can extend the existing ones.
Sometimes it is not question of authorization whether you can change some fields or not. For instance, if you want to change the base unit of measure, batch management, valuation, etc your material has to met certain conditions.
Please be more specific.
Thanks,
Csaba

Hi,
You can change it and when you want to save the mmr with the new description you get an error message, or you can't change it at all (is the field 'grey')?
Maybe in SPRO > Logistics - General > Field Selection > Maintain Field selection for Data Screens, the field is set as display field...
I don't know...

Hi,
Goto SPRO> SAP Referance IMG>logistic genereal>material master>field selection>maintain field selection for data screen
