Can I integrate external C/C++ functions with SAP HANA?

SAP IQ database allows external User defined functions (UDF) written in C/C++ to be integrated with the database. But I could not find any document regarding such a support for the HANA database. Note that I'm NOT looking for UDFs that are written in SQL.

The closest thing I could find was Application Function Library. Also, the answer to this question says that there is an SDK for writing such external functions in SAP HANA.

We have a software application in the form of a shared object (.so). We'd like to provide the database users with some functions/procedures that take advantage of our library and that are callable from the HANA database.

Does SAP HANA provide any support for implementing this?

With the answer that you've found you already have the answer to your question. SAP HANA's only customer-facing code extension option for C++ libraries is the AFL SDK. There's no "external" UDF functionality like in SAP IQ available.
