PLD table OINV field cardname

Hello

When you change the card name the print out still print the nalme which is defined in OCRD and not in the OINV table

The data base field defined in PLD is CardName from OINV but it does not take this field...

I do not understand why I have tried with get description but teh result is s=the same

CardName from OCRD is generic as Cash Customer and from OINV you change it to the real customer's name

Hi,

It should work, I tried it on PL36 and PL43 there it is OK.

Do you use a system layout or one created by yourself? Try if it works with the system layouts and let me know the result.

No with a system lay-out I still get the name from OCRd which is not the one from OINV

result remains the same

When you overwrite the name on the invoice do you exit the field pressing CTRL+TAB or just simple TAB?

Is the name correct on the screen when you add the invoice or does it change back itself to the original, OCRD name?

The first answer is maybe tab but frankly I do not know how they did it as I have tested myself and doing tab I have to create a new partner and with control + tab it takes the name and the lay-out is correct

The second answer is I see the new name on the screen and when I click on the yellow arrow and go to OCRD the old name is there.

Basically I believe you have given me the answer they have to do ctrltab to have it overwritten.... and it seems not possible to change the name when you don't do ctrltab

I'm glad it helped you.

The original name in the OCRD table will not change when you overwrite it on the documents but it will use the name for that particular document when using the CTRL+TAB function.

hi delone,

You should define customer name in Customer master

as you want it to print in PLD.
