Why closed tasks from reference quality notification are getting copied with outstanding status?

Dear QM experts,

Whenever a new quality notification is created with reference to an existing one (via QM01), all reference tasks (even the closed ones), are getting copied and also being automatically set up with outstanding status in the new notification. Is there any way to avoid this system behavior? We actually don´t need any tasks being copied...

Background so far:

1) I tried using the QQMA0007 enhancement (QM: Default Values when Creating a Notification) -> No success because the QMSM structure shows no records;

2) Checked also the QQMA0006 (QM: Automatic Task Determination for Quality Notifications) -> the exit is meant for another purposes and requires customizing on priorities. This is not the case.

Any help is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Julio

    Hello Julio,

    When u take refrence of any notification for creating new notification, it will considered copied task as 'Outstanding' only - as for system it is a open task for user to complete. Its pretty much obvious.

    To address ur issue, enh. QQMA0014 can be used.

    if notification is created with ref. QMEL- QWRNUM will be updated with ref. notification field

    When any task is copied from ref. notification, table QMSM -AUTKZ will be marked as 'X'.

    Logic - at save notification system will check if QMEL- QWRNUM has value, if yes check QMSM -AUTKZ =X, If yes then delete task.

    This logic has some constraints like if u r using auto task determination in notification (follow up action).....

    Regards
