Minimum Order qty in po

Hi

While creating purchase order for a particular material, system should take minimum order quantity.

For example, i create po 10ea minimum order quantity 25.then system should automatically should pick 25.

1)pls tell me where to define minimum order quantity?

2)is it work this scenario?

pls help me..........

Hi,

If u want the system to throw an error/warning message when u try to create a PO item with a qty less than the Min order qty,

You need to maintain the minimum qty in info record purchasing 1 view

and configure the message 06216 as error/warning as per ur requirement in spro>MM>purchasing>environment data>define attributes of system messages

hi, maybe you have matain the minimum quantity in the infor revord ,and the massage is Error

Maintain the MOQ in inforecord and make the warning message as error message,,, it will give only error and dont pick the quantity from PIR.

Hi Bhaskar,

In materail master in the MRP1 Tab under Lot Size Data you have two options

Minimum Lot size and maximum lot size These two options would help you in determining the lot size when Placing a PO

setting the values in here will create a PO for minimum lot size Qty even if you give lessthan the qty specified in that field

In the same Material master Under Purchasing tab you have a check box Automatic PO flag this option as well

It Defines that purchase orders are generated automatically when purchase requsisitions are converted into purchase orders.

At the same time in the master record for the vendor with whom the material is ordered, the field "Automatic purchase order" must be flagged in the control data for the purchasing data.

Now PO's are generated automatically with the specified minimum order value

How ever this scenarion would be possible only if we are running MRP and finding material requirement and generating PR & PO automatically

I doubt it would work if you are creating PO manually

You can use rounding profile for your requirement.

Execute tcode OWD1, then create rounding profile for your plant and click create dynamic.

Then, enter 10 in treshold value and enter 25 in rounding value.

Hi Bashkar,

I would wonder if you could set SAP in accordance with your idea when you are in ME21N (manual PO creation).

In the material master (on MRP tabs - I don't know exactly on which by heart) you can set minimum lot size and rounding value.

But these values are used by MRP. When MRP creates PR, it considers the values defined in material master and info records (for info records you have to define and use rounding profile). When you creates PO from PR the quantity will be the same as it was in the PR.

But if you create a PO in ME21N manually, w/o PR, you can write "any value" I guess...
