Creating Technical System for JCo destination...

Hi,

I have Installed SAP Netweaver 7.0 ABAP SP12 and SAP Netweaver 7.0 JAVA SP14 ( both are trial version) on the same machine with Windows XP OS.

I also configured and enabeld BW application in AS-ABAP for my learning and training.

AS-ABAP:

SSID : NSP

Instance #: 00

AS-JAVA:

SSID : J2E

Central Instance #: 01

SCS Instance #: 02

I have also configured SLD through AS-JAVA installation process.

I need to create JCo destination for applying the PORTAL integration process. I tried it using Portal -> Webdynpro content Admin -> Create JCo destination. During the process I need to provide message server information.

So, tried to create technical system in http://<hostname>:<port>/sld.

But here I am getting problem. It doesn't accept the Installation number as "DEMOSYSTEM". Its says I have to specify either 10-digit number or "INITIAL". Is there any other method that I could create JCo destination. I am following the procedure which read in different documentioan.

I also checked the all information are blank in JCO RFC Provider under Services in Visual Administrator.

Is there any help that I can create it successfully and could see my BI/BW report on portal.

Please provide any possible help ...

Go ahead with INITIAL as installation Number.

Without Technical System you will not be able to create JCO.
