0TCTAUTH not available when defining authorization objects

Hi, I am working on SAP netweaver 7.0 and trying to define a authorization object to give access to infocube I have created. The prerequisite for this is to have infoobject 0TCAAUTH available. It was not available in my case so I used BI content to install it. Now its present in the InfoObject list but under "Unassigned Nodes-->Unassigned Characteristics".

When I try to create authorization object then I am not getting 0TCAUTH in the "Authorization relevant InfoObjects" so that I can select and move to selected infoobjects.

Please let me know what I have to do to fix this.

Hello Kalpesh,

You cannot see that characteristic because it is not marked as AuthorizationRelevant.

Go to transaction RSD1 choose the characteristic "0TCTAUTH", edit, go to the tab "Business Explorer" and mark the "AuthorizationRelevant" option.

Try to find it again and you'll see it.

Although you don't need that characteristic to create the new authorization.

S_RS_AUTH links analysis authorizations to traditional roles / profiles. You can analyze authorizations directly or through roles / profiles by entering the name of an analysis authorization in the field of S_RS_AUTH.

Hi Kalpesh,

One the 0TCTAUTH is in infoobjects list means we can add it in authorization object by just adding a new line and selecting from the F4 help and you can enter the infobject(0TCTAUTH)directly.(it can be in any infoarea).

Hello,

Goto the InfoObject -> Change mode and you can find the Application component name -> change to the new name that you needed. Just refresh.

Hi Chandran, Thanks for the reply but I dont want to change the name. My question is defining authorization object and not getting infoobject 0TCTAUTH in the selection list which I have activated using BC.
