bapi doubts

What is bapi enhancement? And what is bapi modification? And difference between them?

Steps for find the bapi enhancement?

When will we create bapi? In real time mostly what type of work we down on bapi(bapi creation or enhancement or modification)?

What is mean by standardized bapi?

Already we are use BDC but why we use again BAPI?

Is it possible in bapi without using rfc?

What is an API? What is difference between API and BAPI?

    Hi Chakri,

    Hi Chakri,

Go through the above links you will get to know of how to enhance/modify BAPIs and all related stuff.

    For Standardized BAPIs:

See using the BDC or BAPI depends on the context and several other parameters. BAPIs are preferred is one exists for the current requirement as it implements the object oriented notation. Moreover, when you go for upgradations you need to readjust the BDC programs which is not the case with BAPIs which are nothing but the methods in the Business Object Repository (BOR).

API is nothing but Application Programming Interface it can be a java API (methods) or BAPI is SAP.

BAPI is Business Application Programming Interface, an interface from SAP ERP to SAP R/3.

    Reward points if useful.

    Best Regards,
