SDI - ALTER DATABASE ADD 'dpserver' on Europe (Rot) - Trial

Is it possible?

I have quite a complex developer playground in my HANA MDC (<trial>) database but didn't thought to enable DP Server on it a year ago when I created it. Can I enable DP Server with ALTER DATABASE command or only option is to drop & re-create a new database having fun with deploying DUs to restore it to previous state?

Hello,

I'm not totally sure of the limitations of trial HANA MDC, but in full versions you can of course alter and add the dpserver.

See the Installation and Configuration Guide:

ALTER DATABASE <database_name> ADD 'dpserver' AT LOCATION '<hostname>[:<port_number>]'.

Yes, this is a well known command from SAP documentation.

If it works on a trial HANA MDC and what will be the exact LOCATION parameter for "Europe (Rot) - Trial" instance was in my question. So this answer didn't help with it, sorry.
