Error S4H EWM - Business system group not assigned.

Hello,

Its SAP EWM 1709 system on S4H for best practices.

When I try to maintain the Supply Chain Unit I receive error message

Business system group not assigned.

I see in the SPRO>>EWM>>Interfaces>>ERP Intergration>> General settings >>Define business settings, I found no entries.

Could you please help how to fix this issue?

I think the BP documents have missed a step of assigning a logical system to a business system group.

Assign Logical System and Queue Type

In this IMG activity, you assign a logical system to a business system group (BSG). Additionally, you assign a queue type (inbound queue or outbound queue) to the BSG.

In the Error Handling column, you can set the type of error handling for the logical system concerned. You use the Postprocessing for Errors, No Splitting of LUWs setting to activate CIF error handling.

Requirements

To enable error-free communication, every source system (ERP system) must be assigned to a BSG. A BSG can consist of one or more source systems.

I have the same problem.
I did not configure SCM Basic because I understood that configuration is for when we integrate with the external EWM solution and not for the S/4Hana in version 1709 (with EWM)
