MICs duplicated in COA (Certificate For Analysis) for Finish Product.

Hi, Champions,

I have problem in printing COA:

We are using TL type "Q" inspection plan.

Operation:1 Chemical Test

MIC:0010 Test-1

MIC:0020 Test-2

Operation:2 Physical Test

MIC:0010 Test-1

MIC:0020 Test-2

MIC:0030 Test-3

Manageing individual COA profile for each Material.

We have customized COA report.

When we are trying to take printout from it, it is printing the COA for all the Operations two times. Means one more time then it is there in the Task List.

The parameters for the COA Profile are as below.

1. Level for Result Selection: - Summarized

2. Origin of the Characteristic Result on the Certificate: - Inspection Result.

3. Origin of Characteristic Short Text: - Master Inspection Charecteristic.

4. Origin of Inspection Specifications: - Inspection specfication from QM.

5. Output Strategy for Skip Characteristics: - Text from text element of function group.

Pls let me know, where is the possibility of cause for this descipancy in COA.

Regards,

Shyamal

    Hi Shyamal

Could it be somthing with your customized layout? What happens if you replace this with the "ides" layout QM_CERT_01?

I would definitely say it is in your custom program. I always advise clients to try not and make changes to the underlying program, change the SAPscript only.

Why wasn't the standard program suitable?

I would also look at the specific materials/batches where your seeing multiple results. Since your only seeing this since you released additional plants, I suspect your logic to grab values is finding multiple plans and/or inspection lots for the same materials across plants.

You don't mention if these are batch managed materials. Is the material transferred and reinspected? Is the material manufactured in 2 or more plants? Do you have more then one inspection plan in the system.

It definitely sounds like somthing in the logic of the program is allowing it to find either multiple plans or multiple inspection lots.

    Hi,

You might be taking inspection charactersitics details from PLMK table , please check if you have mutiple values for characteristic in table . I mean you might have assigned some characteristic and deleted , later again same characteitstic loaded.
