Rescheduling the Maintenance Plan

I have a 6 Months Maintenance Plan which need to be rescheduled on 31.03.2018. But as per the strategy assigned to the plan, the system is taking only the exact date which we are giving as back date. for example if we restart the plan and give the date as "30.09.2017" the plan is scheduling on "30.03.2018". as September month does not have 31st day, the system is not accepting. Is there any way to schedule the plan on 31st March?

Karthick,

Can you provide more explanation as to why is the important requirement for the maintenance plan call to be scheduled exactly on 31.03.2018? When do you want the next call to be? On 30.09.2018? Do you want the calls to be on 30.09 and 31.03 every year?

You could change the cycle to be in days, as it is 182 days from 30.09.2017 until 31.03.2018. (Then it is 183 days until 30.09.2018. So this approach will drift away from the 31st over years.

In my experience, the exact day of the call can be helpful for the initial scheduling. But there will always be an anomaly at times. An example in this case would be 03.31 falling on a non-work day (Sunday or holiday).

Generally, Key Date would tie you to a certain day of the month, but since September does not have a 31st, that will not work here.
