Emulated Data sorces

Hi,

i replicate metada it was loading in BI as Emulated 3.x Datasources, i deleted that datasources again replicated but it was not prompt me as RSDS Datasources or 3.x datasources.

If i check the emulated Datasource are not in actvie version in BI, they are active in ECC server.

In context menu i did not found any change button for these Emulated Datasources in bi. so i cant make any changes.

if i click migrate then i found change button in context menu.

let me know what datasource can i use?

iam in BI7.0, is it 3.x, Emulated 3.x, RSDS

Nani,

you can use either the 3.x or the RSDS version depending on your data flow . Emulated datasources are meant only for testing purposes...

thanks for u r reply my problem is,

when i am using emulated datasources when i right click create transformation, then i assign the cube then it was showing that it was only diplaying datasource.

so data source is not in active version.

when i click migrate in context its propmt me as RSDS datasource or 3.X datasource .

what i have to do

Hi Nani

If you select rsds it will give you the datasource in bi7.0 version and if you select 3.x it will give you in bi3.5 version.

Hi,

my BI content version is 703 , when i installing my cube with data flow before and after it is installing transformations and update rules there is no trnasfer rules and transfer structure.

BI content 7.0 defaultly getting transformations so we must use BI7.0 flow right?
