Hi,

in fact it is quite confusing. When you use the feature to "generate" an activity area you do this for one storage type and (if you want) for an activity. Then an activity area with the name of the storage type and the title "generated activity area for xxx" is created and the assignment to the storage type is automatically done.

I believe you had to do this for cross-line stock putaway, at least I always thought so, but it is not required anymore.

When you "create" an activity area, you need to assign this manually to the storage type. And this gives you the possibility to have one activity area which spans several storage types, or only includes small parts of a storage type (by using aisle / stack / level in the assignment).

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!
And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!
