Hi,

In case of quite a few line items for Debit andCredit in GL Document to be posted, the users desire to upload the line entries from Excel using the "Fast Data Entry" mode in T Code FB50. Could anyone advise as to how can we upload the line items from excel ?

Thanks in advance.

Rgds

Hi,

From FB50 menu 'Environment' > Complex posting (F6)>Click on Fast Data entry button.

Here call the required layout (menu: Settings>input template).

Maintain Fast Entry Screens for GL Account items in transaction O7E6.

Uploading the data from excel does not mean there is an option to upload the entire file, rather the values can be copy-pasted from excel into the template.

Hope this helps.

Hi

If you want to upload transaction use LSMW rather using Fast Data Entry. Fast data entry can only be copied and paste

LSMW you can upload the data. For transaction upload use standard program available in LSMW

Hi Pradeep,

Thanks for the help, however, I notice that while copying and pasting the information from excel in the document template, the information in different columns gets mixed up in the template. How to prevent the same from happening?

Thanks.

Thanks Balasubraniam.

the value is mixing becasue character length in Fast entry screen is less or more thant the chanracters in excel sheet for that particular column.

HI,

Well, considering that there will not be too many columns (6-7 col), you can copy past each column separately (rather than selecting the entire data and pasing). Say, you copy first column (ex: Posting key) from excel and paste in SAP, then go for the second column etc.,

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Just use T.Code. F-02 is better for fast entry
