How to find the storage type/section bin details for a warehouse task?

Hi EWM Experts,

I have the below few questions that need answer.

1. If 5 warehouse tasks were created with numbering 10,11,12,13,14,15 while doing a Putaway, will all the above mentioned tasks follow the same sequence while processing and get confirmed.

Like first task-10 is worked then task-11, and then task-12.... like this (or) Any task can be done first irrespective of warehouse task number sequence.

2. I have some warehouse tasks with WH process type mentioned in it. But when checking that WH process type, it didn't contain any source or destination storage type/section/bin information.

In this case how to identify the source and destination locations.

Hi EWM Experts,

I got the sequence processing of Warehouse tasks doubt because of irregularity in source and destination bins in next sequence of tasks as shown in attached picture.

Regards,

Sridhar.

Hi,

"1. If 5 warehouse tasks were created with numbering 10,11,12,13,14,15 while doing a Putaway, will all the above mentioned tasks follow the same sequence while processing and get confirmed.

No. Or maybe. Or whatever. The sequence of the processing is determined through the warehouse order. So first of all with 5 WTs you might have anything between 1 and 5 WOs. So the question is how the WOs gets processed. And that might depend on different things, like where the warehouse tasks go to, which queues you determine. And if there is more then one WT are in one WO, it depends on the sort sequence in your WOCR.

"2. I have some warehouse tasks with WH process type mentioned in it. But when checking that WH process type, it didn't contain any source or destination storage type/section/bin information."

Might be process-oriented or layout-oriented storage control. Or staging area determination.
