Transportation Zone: Region is not validated with FM /SCTM/BAPI_ZONE_SAVEMULTI

Hi, I'm creating transportation zone with the Function Module /SCTM/BAPI_ZONE_SAVEMULTI.

I noticed that this function module doesn't perform any validation on the country code & region. It appears to load any data fed into the country and region field even though the country code and region are not configured in customizing table T005 & T005S. Is this the normal behaviour of the function module?

We are undertaking a migration project and would like the function module to produce an error message output whenever bad data is being fed into the function module instead of updating the table. What is the best way to achieve this without developing custom programs?

SAP has implemented the requested checks in the BAPI FM /SCTM/BAPI_ZONE_SAVEMULTI, invalid country/region and postal codes in the zone won't be persisted any more.

Please implement the attached SAP Note in order to get the correction.
