Problem in SAP BW installation NW7.5 on SAP HANA DB using Software provisioning Manager

Hello guys,

When trying to install SAP BW Nw 7.5 using "Software Provisioning Manager" , I have this error when the installation reach 80% : ( and can't figure out what cause it.

Any solution or suggestion is welcome

Also it would be great, If you can guide me with the recommended log file to explore.

Please provide dev_disp and dev_w0 log files.

Hi Louzza,

According to the attach image, file should be exist in directory as .../INSTALL/STD/ABAP/R3load.exe.log

Please open the file and check the error. Also, search for *sapinst.log* on your system to check the additional logs.

These kind of issues linked to these component:

BC-INS-MIG or HAN-LM-INS-SAP or HAN-DB

Thanks for your reply . The R3load.exe.log shows that everything is completed succefly : r3load.txt

The sapinst.log file displays the same error as faced during the install with no additional informations sapinst.txt

Hi Louzza,

Could you please retry the installation with using csh shell ?

And search for *trans.log* which should contains relevant information.

I can't find the asked files in the specified path : C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\NW750\HDB\INSTALL\STD\ABAP

However the following files show some errors : sapinst-dev.txt dev-sap-kernel.txt dev-webdisp.txt

The log files arę located in /usr/sap/<SID>/D00/work

Based on the log files there is a problem with connecting SAP to the database. Can you please check your database is running? Do you have any firewall turned on that could block ports?

Please log in to the OS as <sid>adm and execute following command (and attach the log.txt file afterward)

R3trans -d -w log.txt
