I'm using XCelsius 2008 going against Query as a Web Service (QAAWS) running on Business Objects Enterprise XIR2 SP2. Query takes user inputs (filters) from Xcelsius that may or may not return results/records. It works fine when query returns results/records replacing the results mapped to the cell range destination, but noticed that when the query doesn't return results it doesn't clear/overwrite the cell range destination with a blank result.
This is annoying and leads to misinformation particular with charts mapped to the destination cell range showing the results from a previous user selection when their current selection doesn't return results. Anyone else seeing this or potentially have a fix/workaround? Only way I've found to avoid this is to construct an outer join query via the universe to always return records.
Thanks.
