Transport

I have a request for transport which I had generated and it is under another person chnages for the same report he did earlier that was not sent to the QAT. I didnt back out his request when I was doing my changes to the same report and subsequently My request was generated under his change request and number. Now my question is that Is it possible for me to just transport my request which is under his request and leave behind his changes in the DEV and transport my requets to prd.

Like:-

- DEVK904787 JPOON SD_1396_1,FP13722,add contract rental(containers,lugger bin)

--> + DEVK908403 STIWARI Development/Correction

+ DEVK904788 JPOON Development/Correction

+ Object List of Request

+Request Attributes

Is it possible to just transport DEVK908403and not the top most i.e DEVK904787.

Thanks

No its not possible to release your changes without moving the parent request. But you can copy your changes to separate request and then can release it.

IF the other person made changes to the same report and you did not revert those changes those changes will go to production with your changes no matter what you do.

Do a version compare to make sure the changes to the report is only your changes. after confirming this you can delete your report form that Transport request and save it in a different transport request. Then move the new request forward.

      Hi,

You told that you dont know what are all the changes he has done with the code right and also he didnt documented properly.

Why dont you check versions? that will help you to find out what are all the changes he has done with the code.

now you can take out his code and you do your changes and it will ask for new reqest number and then you transport your new transport reqest.

Please reward points if it helsp

      Thanks

If you only want to transport the changes you made in the report .

First release all the transport request for this development.

Then take the report program in SE38 tcode:

In menu Utilities -> Version mgt -> Tick your transport request version

    Then click on Retrieve Button

The current report code will be overwritten with your version of code

Then save it in a new tranport request

Transport only that request to QA an Prd.
