U have the following two options

    1) Create a return delivery docume t with movement type 122 and configure for excis for this movement type. U have to generate a e.i. with ref to this mat document and pay to excise dept

    2) u can create a return po with return check box selected in po. When u do MIGO wrt this po, matl document will be generated with movement type 161. U have to configure excise for 161 movement in this scenario. U can generate a E.I. with ref to matl document

If ur case is that material has been already accepted and payment is also made, option-2 will be the best oprion

The process to be followed for returning the excisable material are:

    1. Raise the credit memo to reduce the vendor liability.

    2. Goods issue for return delivery to vendor - MIGO - 122 Mvt type.

    3. Create the Excise invoice for other movements - J1IS.

    4. Post the Excise invoice - J1IV.

    5.Check the accting document & vendor line item - FB03 & FBL1N.
