  • Hi Krishna,

Can you please elaborate the reason behind planning for two instances on single box.

As you might already know, this is possible in Unix servers, provided if you carefully choose the ports different for different instances you are planning to run.

Whereas on Windows servers, with the current implementation of it is not possible to have two instances.

If you can elaborate requirement, and also explain what is the difficulty in managing two server boxes, then we can see whether it is suitable for submitting to influence council, so that we can take it forward the requirement.

    Regards,

    Venkat

It's possible, but not recommended. You would need to create a new SIA, with a port number different than the default 6410, then create a new CMS with a port different than the default 6400.

    Krishna,

This is NOT recommended and will NOT be supported by SAP Support, especially on MS Windows Server. Too many ports will conflict between the multiple installs.

port and libraries conflicts will make this impossible to manage/maintain.
