In RG1 register....Value and quantity will update or only value or only Quantity. and in which stage.

When you inward the material, quantity will update and when you make sales and run J1I5, both quantity and value will update.

to add to this which is very very important is:

If you do a J1I5 after PGI you will see only the qty updated in the RG1,.No value and do duty will be there.

If you do the billing and the excise Invoice and do the J1I5 then both qty and value and duty will update

Remember in the case of exports also the scenario is the same but the duty values do not come but they are populated in the RG1 register. The print program controls the values as to what should appear in the RG1.
