Non stock item transfer from one work order to another

Hi,

This is the scenario:

For equipment XY001 we need some spare parts for example:

1.Coupling --Qty -1

2.Breaker ---Qty--1

Work order created, PR raised, PO raised, Material received and GR etc done from store,

now in iwbk material is shown as received against the work order.

By the time we have received the material, we have priority for equipment XY002 for the same material and we are going to use the above received material for XY002.

How can we transfer above material to the work order for XY002 in SAP?

[This is one scenario, in many different scenarios we often need to use material received against one workorder and equipment for another work order and equipment. Also we don't have the option to keep stock and issue to work orders as required, it must be ordered by raising a PR against a work order. Please tell me how can we manage that in SAP?]

Thanks.

    Ali Ali,

As far as I am aware you can't perform a transfer posting from one order to another. I'd be happy to hear if this is possible???

So, assuming you have a material master which is inventory managed, then perform a MT262 to return the part from order XY001 to unrestricted stock. Then perform a MT261 from stock to order XY002.
