Calendar Date prompt in Design Studio 1.6 SP3 not able to pass date

Building Dashboard in Design Studio. Need to place a date prompt(Calendar component) at the top and need to pass a date/date range as filter to Dashboard component(Crosstab table/List/Map,Chart/Graph) but not able to do so.

Note: Since Calendar is not directly available in Design Studio and hence using SDK Extension 3.0. we got the component but not able to make it interact(pass date value) to above components.

Please let us know if anyone has implemented it and how

Thanks for resposes we resolved this issue by creating set variable function in Date field

What exactly are you trying to do? There is date field component in Design Studio, you can use on your dashboard for that purpose.

Thanks for the quick reply.We are working with 'Date Field' component only in Design Studio but with that date field component we are not able to do

1) map Date Dimension to 'Date Field'

2) Filter to Dashboard component(Cross tab/ table/List/Map/Chart/Graph)

Please help out for above scenario.

Note:Date Dimension having Date Time as data type, by using convert function we change to "yyyymmdd" format in Universe itself.

Actually we did map Date Dimension to 'Date Field' but once we select any date range then it not passing/Filtering the Dashboard component(Cross tab/ table/List/Map/Chart/Graph)

Note:Date Dimension having Date Time as data type, by using convert function we change to "yyyymmdd" format in Universe itself.

Did you try the Date Field component out of the box ?
