Deployment of SRM-MDM Catalog search and configuration UI.

Hi Everyone,

I am working on SRM-MDM Catalog 2.0 and I need some help.

Well.. we are working on deployment of SRM-MDM Catalog search and configuration UI, our components are of Netweaver 7 and WAS/portal is on lower version on 6.40. We tried deploying file through SDM, SDM got hangged, and now SDM never opens to deploy anything.

The components i.e Web_UI.sca which finished deployment with warning and now we are unalbe to deploy SRMMDMCAT.sca.

Would you be able to help me in this issue?

Hi,

It is recommended that the sca files are deployed on WAS(7.0).also WAS Java needs to be at least on NW2004s SP11.

Hello Vikas,

WAS/portal is on lower version on 6.40.

It is highly recommended to deploy these scar files, WAS version must be 7.0 and above. you WAS version is lower than this that is why you are facing this problem.

The catalog Webdynpro content has few methods which wont run in a WAS 6.40 server and lower version.

you can deploy these scar file on any WAS 7.0 and above.

Also refer the SAP Note-1083126 for version mapping of SRM-MDM CATALOG 2.0 while deploying the scar files.

I hope this will clear your doubt and solve the problem.
