SDM server not starting

Hi Guyz,

Our SDM server is not starting in Enterprise Portal, the dev_sdm & jvm_sdm.out gave the below errors:

Syntax error. Return code: 12

Invalid parameter "tmpdir" for SDM command "server"

When i tried to start the SDM going into /usr/sap/<SID>/<Inst>/SDM/StartServer.sh it gave me error:

ERROR: SDM server startup not finished after 600 seconds. Giving up.

Could not start SDM. Processing error. Return code: 4

Please guide me.The note specified in the log did not help.

Hi My problem has been solved, this is due to invalid parameter in the jstartup.properties in the /usr/sap/<SID>/DVEBMGS<NN>/SDM/program/jstartup.propertis
