Difference in QTY between report MB5B

The closing stock for mat 5002980 on Dec 23rd and run report QTY, valuated and with special stock, the difference between QTY Storage loc and valuated stock. QTY storage stock + special stock is not equal to the valuated stock. User is expecting that this should be match.capture1.jpgcapture2.jpgcapture3.jpg. Please let me know your views so that i can touch base with user accordingly. Thanks,

Mukunda.

The new screenshots are about a different material number. Why did you not continue with the material number from your original question?

You find the second part of the 309 movement by going into the detail of the movement, e.g. in MIGO.

You probably have it not in the list because it has a different material number or a different plant number, or anything else what is not matching with your entries in the selection screen.

Sorry it was my bad, however now i checked for the original material 5002980 and this is also showing same kind of difference with 600IT, if you can please add up as marked in red ...

Slock stock + consignment ‘W’ = valuated stock/value is not matching each other.

65770 + 1470 = 67240, where as the Valuated Stock is showing as 66,640 ITs, which is 600 IT excess.

Now in reference to my previous analysis the 600IT excess is split up into two as below and marked in red in the screen shot.(309 W 4905825909 29 01/12/2018 440- IT) + (309 W 4905825909 31 01/12/2018 160- IT) = 600IT is showing short in the Valuated Stock report.

Not sure if my analysis is correct or not but Why there is difference like this? apparently we found this difference in two parts. not sure how many are affected like this. How best we can justify to our Audits? my user is unable to answer this question. hence from where we can show that this is nullified? should we need to perform any other transaction?

the assumption that it has to do with the 309 movements might be right, but there is no option to recalculate this from the screenshots.

We would need a screenshot from MMBE with the current stock

And from MB5B (which should have the same quantity for todays stock)

And then all movements from MB51 from today back to lets say December 1st.

And this MB51 list should show the quantity, the quantity of entry, the posting date, the document date, the CPU date. And of course the usual key fields like material number, plant, storage location, batch, special stock type.

no it does not help. since the MB51 does not show all movements and it does not show the requested fields.

Kindly click the table button and then add the requested fields via menu Settings > Display variant > current

Hi Jurgen,

i have the below report in my local drive in word document and its more than 1mb not sure how i can share with you.

there is still no document and no CPU date visible.

You would need to load it for example to Google drive and share the link.

you picked the right one with Entry date, the field name is technically CPUDT in table MKPF

is it usual to load tables into documents instead of spreadsheets? just asking, I am able to get over, but it could have been easier.

What is the current stock from MMBE and MB5B, this is needed to recalculate

Report on Spread sheet

Please find the report on spread sheet in google drive and MMBE for further analysis....

I would need the MB5B movements in a spread sheet

You can also check whether you find the 631 movements in both MB5B lists.

Further the conversion ratio between IT and SW and CS is needed.

With such a long gap between the posts the values cannot be compared anymore.

For an analysis I need to get all data together at the same time.

with the MB5B from today I cannot compare with MMBE from 4 days ago.

Also the units in the report are different from the last extract. Material document 4906031094 is listed with 1,350 CS in the MB51 list, but with 1,350 IT in the MB5B list today. I see also two receipts from Feb 19 which are listed with 6 IT, but they have a value which is extraordinary higher.

There is also a document in the overall MB5B list on 1/1 which seems to be just value, this item can't be seen in the individual MB5B reports

In general all movements except 631 and 309 , 311, 343, 344, 325 movements can be found in the total report. 311, 343, 344, 325 is clear, as such transfer postings do not create accounting documents and do not change an value.

But 631 and 309 should actually transfer values, hence I am wondering why they are not seen in the total report. This looks as if you have partially non-valuated stock among all stock.

To evaluate this I would also need a screenshot from material master accounting view, to see how much stock is valuated compared to the total stock.

Please have a look into OSS note 2000331 - MB5B shows different results for the same data

even its title does not match with your situation, the background explained in the note however might explain it.

So try it again and run your report in a time where no movements will be posted.

If the result is still like it is in your screenshots, then add a screenshot from material master accounting view and MB51 with all movements from today back to the December 23rd, so that we can recalculate it.

You can also check the movements from MB5B details and compare it with your MB51 report

Another possibility for an inconsistency is the situation explained in OSS note 2117567 - MB5B: wrong results with FI sumarization

Hi Jurgen,

Please find the three reports embedded for different dates and which is showing the Qty 600 IT difference by adding

Slock stock + Consignment Stock ‘W’ = Valuated stock

from screen shot 3 I suspect 309- entry the doc 4905911785 posted on 01/26/2018 as highlighted which is causing the issue.

Question : 1. How would i prove this to my user as this is causing the issue?

2. From where can i find 309 + entry for the same transaction?

3. Will there by any reason other than this to cause this difference?

Thanks,

Mukunda.
