Hi!

One Maintenance Cycle is created for each SMI Project in SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN.

A Maintenance Cycle is an unterminated period of time which gets terminated by each phase. Depending on the phase different actions are allowed/not allowed (release transports, import in production and so on).

Maintenance Cycle provides a Task List (Actions which can be scheduled/performed in the system landscape which is "attached" to your SMI Project)

When you create a Change Request document the system tries to assign a Maintenance Cycle. You need a Maintenance Cycle which is in status "developement without release" or "developement with release".

Further more the iBase component which is assigned in your Change Request document must correspond to the system (of role 'production system') of your Logical Component within your SMI Project.

This should help to solve your issue.

System Landscape and Logical Component configuration is done in TX: SMSY

Initial iBase configuration is done via menu in TX: DSWP (see result in TX: IB52)

/cheers
