BOM is not working

Hi

Created a BOM, main item is Computer(ERLA) and sub items item category are LUMF maintained for Sales Org 1000, dist channel 10 and plant 1000.(In MM01) After that i maintained the BOM in CS01 by assigning the sub items.but when i enter the main material in sales order(OR) for sales area 1000/10/00 the system shows the error "Material Computer is not defined for sales Org. 1000, dist channel 10, language DE.

Where is the problem?

Dear Jyoti

1) Ensure that in VA01, you have entered the correct sales area

2) Ensure that in ovx6, you have assigned sales organizatin 1000 and distribution channel 10 to plant 1000

3) Ensure that the material is created in the sales area in which you are trying to create sale order

Dear Lakshmipathi/ Vikas,

All my seetings are O.K. In OVX6 the plant is already assigned.And in my sales order i entered the right sales area.

As Vikas said there might have some prblem in Language settings in MM01 bcoz in my sales order i maintained the language DE.But in Mm01 this is EN.

But I cann't change the language in MM01/ Basic data1/ language maintained field.It's in display mode.

Hi

Go to MM01 basic data tabpage at the bottom can see language key enter and can see EN as language, enter language DE also. save and try it.

Hi Jyoti,

Please goto MM02 (Basic Data) & enter Language DE & Text. Save it .

Now try creating Order in VA01.

After changing the text to DN in MM01 still i am getting the same error messege when creating again the Sales Order.

Dear Friend,

You have to define the materil with the langagure also..

Go to MM01 and give the material code and the Langague in the bar.

Next save it.

your bOM will explode and work perfectly.

Hi,

The main item itemcategory group is ERLA

The Sub item itemcategory group is NORM

So then only system will print the main item price

and maintain the item category determination in the combination

salesdoc type,itemcat.group,.usage,higl item category,dflt item categoryOR-ERLA--TAQ

ORNORMTAQ--TAE.

CHECK THIS SETTING

Hi Jyoti,

Go to VOV7, & please check the Structure Scope of your item category under Bill of material / Configuration Tab. If its blank, BOM wont explode, change it to your requirements.

Hi,

Please go to MM02 & maintain material for sales org-1000, Plant-1000, Dis. Ch-10 & most imp Language for Language DE (Basic Data).

Now, Totally come out & go to VA01 & now create a order. It will work. Regards,
