Hi,

You can configure the PO text in the other languges.

SPRO-IMG-Material Management-Purchasing-Purchase order-Purchase order Text- select the text then go to menu Goto then select Translation to enter different languages.

Hi Vithal,

This requirement is for manual creation of Purchase Orders. The Text has to be maintained in Japanese.

Make sure your vendor master has commuication language Japanese. This will then be the communication language for the PO. Hence you can directly enter Japanese text in the PO longtext field.

I have maintained the communication language as Japanese. I have maintained the Text in the PO header.

When I try to retrieve using FM:READ_TEXT - ID:F01/LANG:JA/NAME:EBELN and OBJECT: EKKO.

I am unable to retrieve.

check first with SE16 if field SPRAS in table EKKO is Japanese.

Then check the PO number for the access. you have to make the access with 10 digits. If your PO number is shorter than 10 digits, then you have use leading zeros.

Hi Jrugen,

I tried this, but there are not table entries..

You dont have a table entry in EKKO for your PO?

Then you have not saved or you had a posting error

Then it is logical that you will not find anything with the READ_TEXT function module.
