off site implementation

Hi,

in the next project i have work on off site implementation project.

till now i am in onsite implementation.

can any body expalin what is the difference between on site and offsite implementation.

Hi,

May be you will do the implementation offshore with the help of logging into VPN.

On site is nothing but the implementation is carried out at there premises along with them. Off site / offshore is nothing but you will be working in your company through secured networks,.

Dear,

Only main differance is that in onsite u will have core users sitting beside you where u can ask more clarification from tehm at the spot and you can understand their requirement more clearly as we will have face to face dicussions.

where as in offshore you need to call them no.of time to get the clarification on various bussiness process issues over a phone which will in general create some gap in understanding .

Hello,

The difference between both is you are physically not there in the client's place. If your company is using clients network (local area network will be connected to client's network using WAN) there is no need of VPN. If the connection is internet based, then you need to have a Login to VPN.

Almost all the dicsussions and workshops are help there in on-site, you may be a part of the discussion using telephone or video conferencing. The work will be devided and allocated.

The advantage of working at client's place is , if there is any issues you can speck to the concrned person directly and the issue can be solved then and there.

As you have worked onsite you must be aware that you were in direct contact with the client but in off site you will get the development work from onsite team and you have to work from your office using VPN which is most sequered way to login to the client server
