Hi Friends,
Before doing a system copy from production to quality system, we forgot to create a transport request for export of TMS QA tables.
So, now after the system copy is done, what should we do to designate the quality system as a QA system for Transport approval?
Thanks & regards,
Kunal Patel.

Hi,
One surprising thing I found out after the system copy, was that when I configured TMS in SE06 in client 000 with ddic user, the QA system got automatically marked as the QA system, and whenever I release any request in development, I cant import in production without the QA approval
i.e. I did nothing to configure it for QA, still it got marked as QA after the configuration in SE06, then creating the system in STMS, including it in transport domain, adjust transport routes from the domain controller and finally distribute and activate the configuration.
Does it mean that the configuration for QA is not required?
Thanks & Regards,
Kunal Patel.
Its good that all the things are there.
I would say when you put the system back in transport domain, the settings are being taken with the help of transport domain controller. And you donot have to perform any such activities. As the QAS system is registered with the same SID.
Same thing happens when you works in a new landscape. you just have a single system i.e. development but you configures the transport landscape using virtual systems where virtual systems have same SIDs as that would be of Quality and Production.
So when actual system came into picture, you just have to add them and just diatribute the configurations.
