Hi

I have created one report inside that some text symbols are there( goto -> Text elements -> text symbols). I have created one TP for this program. It is not asking TP for text symbols. I have released this TP. But text symbols are blank in production. Why it is like that. Please help me.

Hi,

Text elements must have been locked in some other request.

To find out this :

In Menu:

Goto->Object directory entry->Lock Overview

This will tell you the request in which your text elements are saved.

You have to release that request.

Hope it helps you.

Hi,

Ideally the transport request needs to be prompted for the text elements...Try to change a text element and then save it...Hope it prompts a transprt..

If not...

Try to manually include the report text in the transport...

Go to SE09/SE10->Right Click on transport and Include the objects...

R3TR-REPT-<Report Name>

Hope this helps you..

Hi Hima,

It will not ask for TR separately. Just check whether the text elements, symbols are activated in your report.Just reimport thr TR,activate all the tetx objects as well as the report and then check.

Because even i have done the same requirement and all the tetx objects are visible in prod.

Hello Hima,

Text elements are not transported using transport request, you have to use the report RSTXTRAN to transport. Text symbols will be transported using the tranport request of the report.

Hi HIma,

As u have transported the report to production but ur text symbols are not there do the following things:

i) Go to report program in production and check whther text are there are not.

ii) If text are there but still they r not appearing on ur report execution then see whether the text are activated or not if not activate in them in developemnt server and transpport the request to production.

iii) First time when u create the report text will be transported automatically there is no need to transport then separately as i observed.

If text are not transported then go in development server change mode of report there u change one text and save it , it will ask u for creating the new TR.

After creating the new TR activate the Text .

Hope this will resolve ur problem.

If helpful reward the points !

Hi Hima,

The TR number will be asked only once (which include the report as well as the text elements). First save your text element and activate them, later save ur report and activate it.

Both are portable , we have done it. You need not use any other report programs to transport them.

The report 'RSTXTRAN' is used to assign the sap scripts(created in so10 transaction) to a TR number. This will be a customizing TR.

In your case you dont need that.

Hi,

You can check the text symbols under the task of the transport request.

OR

You can create new transport request and go to text-symbols and give some space for any text symbols already created and save it (CTRL+S). Before releasing the task check whether text symbols are saved under the Transport Request or Not?

Thanks,

Sriram Ponna.
