Fire Fighter: Emails are not Generated

Hi Gurus,

After setting up concerned Config Tab Attributes to Yes, the controllers and owners are not getting emails.

Please advice,

Did you schedule background job /VIRSA/ZVFATBAK and email server configuration?

You need to schedule 2 b/g jobs for the notification and log report

1./VIRSA/ZVFATBAK

2./VIRSA/ZVFAT_LOG_REPORT

Also you need to configure the email server as Himadama notified and make sure the owners and controllers have been given their email ID in the user master record (SU01)

Additionally you can check SAP Note No: 455140 to configure e-mail, fax, paging or sms using SMTP.

Hi,

Even I had the same problem earlier though I had successfully released the background job.

The reason why the controllers were not getting the email notification was that, the users to which FF Id was assigned, were not having email ids!

So make it very sure that, email ids have been assigned to those users. Ofcourse! please configure the mail server (SCOT) as told by others.
