Hi,

Hostname:- <servername>-<systemid>

This name is given at the time of installation of SAP J2ee Engine in System landscape directory.

Port no.:- You first open the NWDS>Window>Preferences>SAP J2EE Engine> their you have to give the Hostname and Istance no(instance no is obtain from "SAP Console". It can be any no from 0 to 9)-->ok

Now deploy any application in NWDS, you will get the URL and in that URL you will get the Port no.

Hi,

Check this link how to change URL from http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/portal to http://<companyname>.com.

https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/ChangePortalURL

So just undo the step in the above link, to have http://<hostname>:<port>/irj/portal URL instead of http://<companyname>.com

Hi,

Not sure what is stopping you to use both URLs!

Here it is explained how to get this URl working:http://hostname.company.com

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/ep/changePortalURL

But this does not stop you to use the other URL, the only change is port, so this call still works:

http://hostname.company.com:80/irj/portal
