Mass Upload

Hi,

We are running on EP6.0. There is a file system repository created in KM. Now we need to mass upload files to the repository. Other than copying and pasting the WEBDAV url, in whic case the approval and other services wont work, is there any other way to implement it?

Also, Will there be any added features in this regard if we upgrade to EP7.0?

Regards,

Ajay.

    Hi Ajay,

Yes. Definitely. There is a portal tool for bulk upload.

You can configure portal drive for this purpose.

The portal drive's main intension is to map folders in the Portal as local drive. Also it supports various functionalities like drag and drop functionality, share files/folders, locking files.

Offline feature that allows access to any file or files recently accessed or marked as u201CAlways Available Offlineu201D. Portal Drive automatically synchronizes our offline work with the server next time we connect online. In addition, it has the ability to synchronize our files manually.

You can download the installable from:

Its a very easy to use.

      Hi,

I still do not understand what is your worry, when uploading files from your OS into KM.

The files on your OS do not have any approval or subscription service set on them, so if you upload them, there is no point of losing the services.

    Hi,

Are you trying to transport KM files between portals?

Only in the above situation, you should worry about not transporting service permission ..etc.

If you are just uploading files into KM, there will be no service permission that can be uploaded, so use WEBDAV url technic.

Check this if you want to transport KM Files between portals:
