Export ALV with icons to Excel replaces icons with their codes

I have a report program which generates an ALV grid. Some of the columns contain icons. When I export this list to an Excel file, the icons are replaced with their codes (@00@, @8X@ and @8Y@). Is there a way to solve this? If I could change the text, it would also be ok.

Hi Fred,

Will you pls let me know whether you need the same icons to be displayed on the excel sheet beside the columns??? else, you need the codes to be displayed for the Icons...

Pls clarify.

Thanks,

It would be nice if the same icons would be visible in the Excel file, however it's not mandatory. For example, if I could change '@8X@' to 'Yes' it would be sufficient.

The icons used are:

icon_dummy (@00@)

icon_allow (@8X@)

icon_reject (@8Y@)

Hey Fred,

I tried downloading the Icons as they are within the Grid. But they are not getting downloaded, instead the same codes were downloaded. So I don't think, we can find out a way to download the same Icon on the Excel File.

Apart from this, changing the Code like '@8X@' to 'Yes' , is again like, you need to rename the Text coming from the table ICON, and it should inside an internal table.

Atleast you can modify some of the Codes to your needed names, but they should also be confined coz there are lot of icons and their names.

Reward points if useful.

Thanks,

-Syed.
