Datatype

I had a placed a text box control in system form. for that i had given numeric as datatype with size 3. whenever i gave the input it accepts 6 numbers after that it tells the message as

Character number is greater than allowed [2000-1]

for this wat to do.. only 3 numbers shd be accepted.
