But how material type is

likned in SRM.

Hi,

In SRM when we download materials (products) from the backend we also bring material types.

It goes like this in SRM Product type which are Materials and Services

Product subtype which are Material types.

Product categories which are Material groups.

These are linked to the products by Category ID as MAT_ROH, MAT_FERT and so on with its relevant hierarchy ID viz., either product category(material group) or product subtype (material type)

Go through the following tcodes COMM_HIERARCHY and COMMPR01

and observe throughly. You will find hierarchy types in the first tcode and products(materials) being assigned to the hierarchy types in the second tcode. The assignment of this done automatically during material download from the backend.

Hi,

Category ID is the key which identifies the product category(material group) in a hierarchy.

Did you observe the entries in the tcodes in your system once your material replication is complete????????
