Urgent : 2 main windows in smartforms

Hi Experts,

Can we have 2 main windows in the same page of a smartform?

My requirement is:

One main window must extend upto the end of the page.

There must be some space left after the second main window for the footer window.

One of the main windows will be executed based on a condition.

Hi Ajit,

Two main windows is not possible in smartforms.

So for specfying footer for one language and not for other specify condition based on language for window.

For the 2nd language 10 line text is required at the end of main window and within it:for this create one secondary window with text element and specify condition for the window.

We can have two main windows and you can also display them based on the conditions .

-> If your requirment is to fill the footer space if the data exceeds the main window then do the following .

-> Create a mainwindow in that write your code asusally.

->Now create the footer window and place the window in the page as per your requirement.

-> At last after the mainwindow logic Now create a text and in that give the empty lines exactly the same no of lines in the footer now in the output options of the that text select the page protection check box..

Hi Nethaji babu ,

My requirement is

1) For output in one language footer is required. For the other it is not required.

For the 2nd language 10 line text is required at the end of main window and within it.

The footer occupies 10 lines. Suppose there are 19(including footer space) lines of space is left after displaying the last line before the text, the text is displayed in the next page as there are only 9 lines left in the main window.

Now the first page looks blank even if there is a space for 19 lines.

Can I have 2 main windows , one extending upto the end of page , so that the text can be displayed in the same page. I ll control flow using language condition in output conditions.

one page is not gonna let tou create more than one main window...

you can try doing it...

Hi,

I am not clear at your requirment but according to my understanding see as follows.

-> You hve a requirment saying that the footer should not be displayed for one language and has to display for all othter language and the footer size is as follows.

-> suppose the main window heigt is 5 cm suppose in this the maximum no of lines that you can display is 25 lines and footer size is 2 cm suppose in this the maximum no of lines that you can display is 10 lines.

->Your requirement if the main window size exceeds more then 25 lines it has to display the data in the footer also and footer has to be displayed in the next page.

-> If not the footer has to be displayed in the same page.

-> Now create the mainwindow of the size of both mainwindow 5 cm + footer size 2 cm = 7 cm height.

-> Create the footer window and place it over the main window at your desired location at the bottom of the mainwidow.i.e Overlap on the mainwindow.

-> Write the coding to display the mainwindow data and footer data in the respective window.

-> The extra logic you have to do is create a text of empty lines that are equal to the footer in the mainwindow at the last .( Ex. suppoose in footer you are displaying 10 line with P1 paragraph format.Create a text with 10 empty lines with paragraph format P1.)

-> And in the output options select the check box page protection..

-> In the footer window go to codition tab provide the sy-langu not equal to your language which you do not want to print the footer.

Hi,

Smartform can't have two main windows. Only one main window will be there. You can create multiple secondary windows but main window will be only one.

So if you want a window which would last till end of the page then you can create a secondary window, and if you want a footer at the end of the page then create another secondary window and place it where you want that .

Can you be more clear with your requirement..!!!
